On approach, the road is narrow and unsealed, cutting through dense bush that feels largely untouched. It’s only at the top of the hill, on a turn in the driveway, that the landscape opens out to reveal Sugarloaf Peak and the distant ridgeline of the Cathedral Ranges. That moment of arrival becomes the a reference point for the project, setting the orientation of the house and quietly shaping how it sits within a layered field of planning constraints.
